Lorinser X ARTHELPS: UN/HIDE - Cap€39.00*
Thousands of people live in a camp near the Iraqi city of Mosul. They all left their homeland to protect themselves from guns and hatred. In the huge refugee accommodation, the longing for security, security and a carefree everyday life is growing - especially among the youngest. They live tent after tent, hut after hut and hope for an end to the violence: The children in the huge refugee shelter in northern Iraq. A team from ARTHELPS visited the young refugees in their home country for a while and there worked with them in several workshops, painted, dreamed, sang, danced and laughed. There were hardly any guidelines - the children could develop freely and convey what is on their hearts to the outside with colors and shapes. Some looked back at home, others painted their ideas of a better future. Casual, honest and from the eyes of children.Together with the young artists, we digitized some of the symbols and drawings on a computer in the camp. They are at the heart of the UN / HIDE idea. Each hand-drawn symbol stands for an individual dream, together they form the UN / HIDE camouflage design. A colorful pattern at first glance - but whoever approaches the sketches, discovers the dreamy and expressive soul of the design.
